West Chester Family Dentistry Hosts Memorable 29-Year Class Reunion for Dr. Tran and Colleagues

This past weekend, West Chester Family Dentistry had the pleasure of hosting a special 29-year class reunion for Dr. Tran and his fellow dental school classmates. Many had not seen each other since graduation, making the event a heartwarming and nostalgic experience as they reconnected and caught up on nearly three decades of life and career changes.

The reunion was more than just a social gathering—it was also an educational opportunity. The event featured a continuing education course by Next Level Consulting, led by lecturer Olivia Smith. Attendees received valuable insights and credit for their participation, sparking engaging discussions about the evolution of dentistry.

Dr. Brett Silverman praised the course: “Olivia ran a very interesting class with lots of good information which led to a bunch of great discussions. All of us are at different stages in our careers, but she was able to talk to all of us and offer sage advice and insight. Even the facility and food were spot on.”

After the course, the group headed back to the Trans’ home, where the real magic of the weekend unfolded. Surrounded by delicious food, cocktails, and good company, attendees swapped stories of their careers and personal lives, recalling their starts, stops, and everything in between. It was a rare moment to share laughter, reflect on the past, and strengthen the bond that began in dental school.

Dr. Tran, owner of West Chester Family Dentistry, captured the essence of the reunion, saying, “Some of us hadn’t seen each other since graduation, yet it felt like just yesterday as we picked up right where we left off, like we were back in dental school again. With diverse career paths in dentistry, it was both fun and inspiring to share ideas and encourage one another. This reunion reminded us of the strong bond we built all those years ago.”

For Dr. Ron Sudomir, the highlight was seeing the care and camaraderie that remain between classmates: “It was great to see the care we have for each other!”

As attendees gathered at the Trans' home, the joy of reconnecting was palpable. Dr. Silverman summed up the sentiment perfectly: “Heading back to the house was obviously the highlight of the weekend. That is where the magic happened. A few cocktails, lots of amazing food, and best of all, it was all of you! Even with all the time and distance, a few minutes of catching up, and we were right back at it.”

Some traveled from as far as Florida, Michigan, Canada, Georgia, Illinois and North Carolina, bringing their spouses and families to make it a true reunion weekend. The turnout was about 20 people, including 10 classmates and their loved ones, making it a meaningful and personal event.

Reflecting on the weekend, Dr. Silverman shared his excitement for future reunions: “Thank you, Phouc and Sang, for an amazing weekend!! I cannot wait for the 30th!”

The reunion was a beautiful reminder of the power of friendship and the shared journey of dentistry. It’s moments like these that underscore the importance of connection, reflection, and support among colleagues. From all of us at West Chester Family Dentistry, it was our pleasure to bring everyone together. Here’s to continued connections, shared success, and many more reunions to come!
